Traditional Funeral

A traditional funeral includes a family or public viewing of the deceased after embalming has taken place. Following the viewing will be a funeral service in a church or at our funeral home with burial of the casketed remains in a cemetery of choice. Casket prices range in price from hundreds to thousands of dollars, depending on the material the casket is made of. Most cemeteries today require that a minimum grave liner or vault be used to encase the casket with an earth burial. The vaults vary in price depending on the material they are made of. Construction materials may be concrete, heavy duty polymers, fiberglass or steel. They are designed to not only protect the gravesite, but are made to protect the casket from outside elements (water and earth).

Traditional Funeral followed by Cremation

This service is similar to a traditional funeral service except cremation will follow instead of a casketed burial. This can be performed by the use of a cremation casket (a casket that is designed to be cremated), or a rental casket (with an interior insert designed to be cremated). Following the viewing, funeral service and cremation, the cremated remains will be placed in an urn selected by the family.

Graveside Service with Visitation

Following a time of visitation at Cremation & Funeral Gallery, a graveside service will take place without prior services at the funeral home or church.

Immediate Burial

The casketed unembalmed remains will be transferred to the cemetery for burial with no visitation or services.

Cremation with a Memorial Service

A memorial service is a service where the body is not present. The cremated remains may be present in an urn if the family desires. The use of photos and other memorabilia can also be utilized to remember and honor your loved one. Following the service the cremated remains can be taken to a cemetery for burial, scattered, or returned to the family.

Immediate Cremation

An immediate cremation can be arranged as an immediate disposition of the body. This option may be helpful if a memorial service, gathering, or celebration of your loved one’s life is to be held at a later date.

Viewing of the deceased is a very important step in acknowledging that death has occurred. Having some type of service or ceremony is also a key ingredient to healthy recovery of a loss.
