Sharon Marie (Russell) Webster, 73 of Billings, MT passed away on June 19, 2020 following a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Sharon was born on June 11, 1947, in Billings to Edward Aaron and Gladys Marie (Ley) Russell. She became a mother at a young age and had to grow up quickly. Sharon worked at many restaurants in Billings and Laurel, MT as a server and bookkeeper. She loved interacting with the “regulars” and always spoke fondly of them. At some point, Sharon was whisked away to Las Vegas and had the time of her life. She shared many of those stories over the years, including being friends with Elvis and spending time with him between shows.
After returning to Billings, Sharon decided to spend the rest of her life with her best friend Dale Webster. They were married on June 3, 1981, in Billings and ranched outside of Laurel for many years. They had a large garden at the ranch and enjoyed taking care of their crop and lawn. After Dale was injured on the railroad, the couple moved back to Billings and owned and managed rentals.
Sharon loved animals, writing poetry, working in her flowerbeds, and visiting with friends and family. She was a person of faith and counseled many young people in her time on this earth. Sharon had a wicked sense of humor and always a twinkle in her eyes. Anyone who was lucky enough to know her would describe her as an independent, honest, loyal, and direct individual. Sharon was headstrong and stubborn, both of which served her well in life. She will be missed.
Sharon is survived by her son Lance Lewis; brothers David (Nancy) Russell and Paul Huszti; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Dale, who passed away in February 2020.
