Linda “Grams” Diane Parry, 73, of Hardin, Montana passed away in the early morning hours of September 24th, 2019 at Avantara Billings rehabilitation center due to complications arising from a recent stroke.

Linda was born in Denver, Colorado on January 17th, 1946 and raised in nearby Aurora. It was in Colorado, working her first job at Western Electric, that she met her husband William Eugene Parry of 51 years.

Linda’s life was built around her passion for family and tradition. A devout student of history, Linda spent most of her life working as a genealogist as well as in various school districts throughout Montana, in a variety of roles. Her passions led her to become the de facto keeper of her family’s histories. But Linda also shared her gift of historical investigation by working to compile genealogical binders for adopted and fostered children, so they too would always be connected to their past.

Linda is survived by her husband William “Bill” Parry, her children Brandon Parry and Kindra Parry, her five adoring grandchildren: Necko L. Fanning, Tori Parry, Terrance Fanning, Lillian Parry, and William “Billy” Parry II, and her beloved dog Daisy. She is remembered fondly for her joy in cooking, selfless service, unwavering devotion to her husband, and youthful spirit. Her grandchildren are comforted in laughter by memories of secret fast-food excursions, learning all the best swear words, and treats they swore never to tell their parents about.

A celebration of her life will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday the 28thof September at the Residency Inn of Billings.
