Robert Allan Dupree, 61 of Billings, passed away at home on March 15, 2020 in the loving care of his family and Compassus Hospice. Robert was born on April 20, 1958 in Roundup, MT to Frenchy Dupree and Carol Templeton.
Bob attended different grad schools and high schools. He then enlisted in the Navy, and was stationed in San Diego at Camp Pendleton. Bob was an Electric Mechanic Equipment Specialist, grade rank Double A, Unit Transport 912.
Bob was employed at Cross Petroleum for more than 20 years, and took great pride in his work. He worked long days and he valued the relationships with his customers and co-workers, especially his boss, Greg Cross. Although cancer was affecting him daily, Bob went to work just last Tuesday, as he missed being in the office and missed his crew. They will miss him dearly.
Bob married Anita Perata Dupree in 2007, following several years together. They loved spending time with one and other and their combined family. He loved his family very much, including his wife Anita; 9 children, Tasha, James, Chance, Shyla, Samantha, Randall, Carolyn, Faye and Sarah; daughters-in-law Katy and Nikki; 14 grandchildren, Kyle, Payson, Lisa, Jacqueline, Quinn, Hunter, Derrick, Bryce, Jordan, Mark, Brooklyn, Aaden, Gavin and Maverick; his brother Darin; two sisters, Michelle and Charlie; many nieces and nephews; and his dog child Chloe.
Bob was preceded in death by his father Frenchy and step-mother Rita; mother Carol; sister Becky; daughter Jacqueline; brother Mike; and his grandparents.
Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at The Moose Lodge, 131 Calhoun Lane. A reception will follow. At 2 p.m., there will be a graveside service at the Yellowstone National Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Navy and the V.F.W. Post 6774, Billings Heights. Heights Family Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
