Sandra ‘Sandy’ Kaye Frye Corwin, 78, of Billings, passed away on December 19, 2018, surrounded by her children.  She was born November 22, 1940 in Indianola, Nebraska to Lloyd Frye and Lucille Baylis.  On April 22, 1983, she married Leo Scott Corwin in Billings, Montana.

Sandy was the most stubborn and head-strong woman you would ever meet, and when she loved, she loved with her whole heart.  We could not have asked for a more loving and caring mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, and friend to have been in our lives.  Sandra had many hobbies, including crocheting, plastic canvas work, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, watching soap operas, cooking, and baking.  She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and adored her niece, Betty.  Leo was the love of her life, and the best thing she ever gave to her children, besides her love, was when she married Leo, and he became their father.

Sandy was preceded in death by her sons Kenneth Leon Kister and Kelly Lynn Corwin; grandson John Robert Cox ‘J.R.’; lifelong friend Pat Johnson; and childhood friend Barb Teel.  She is survived by her children: Tammy (Erick) Sannes of Fort Worth, TX; Cindy Corwin of Billings, MT; Suzy (Kirt) Kottke of Billings, MT; and David Corwin of Billings, MT; as well as her husband Leo.  She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Ericka (Robert) Sannes-Garcia of Fort Worth, TX; Barbara Corwin, Allen Corwin, and Rayna Corwin, all of Hampton, IA; Anthony Cox of Great Falls, MT; and Darynn Corwin of Billings, MT; and 4 great-grandchildren: Lilac, Mariska, Orchid, and Jupiter Sannes of Fort Worth, TX.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Heights Family Funeral Home, 733 West Wicks Lane, Billings, MT.

We love you and will miss you greatly.  Rest in peace, and keep smiling.
