After a short but valiant battle against leukemia, John Edward Babnik, 68, passed away January 17, 2019.

John was born the first of 4 children to John George and Patricia Babnik in Pueblo, CO on July 29, 1950. He grew up in Pueblo and graduated of South High School.

After graduation he joined the U.S, Navy. After completing his Navy duty he returned to Pueblo where he worked in various construction related jobs.

His Air Force obligation ended in 1975 and he and his wife Linda and daughter Cindi stayed in Great Falls where John started his career in the cable TV industry. He also further continued his military career by joining the Montana Air National Guard.

1978 brought the family to Billings where he continued his cable career. He spent 35 years in the cable community working for all the predecessors of what is now known as Spectrum Communications. He and Linda also welcomed son John Jr. in 1982.

John’s hobbies included anything “ourdoors”. He loved fishing, hunting, and rockhounding best of all. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening vegetables. He also loved making his own horseradish sauce for which he had quite a following of people wanting it.
