Norma K. Allmer, 73, passed away in Billings, MT on December 15, 2018.  She was born on November 5, 1945 in Spokane, WA to Phillip F. and Phyllis Watts.  When Phillip and Phyllis divorced, Norma and her brother Ernie were raised by their father and step-mother, Evelyn B. Watts, in Billings, MT.  Phyllis went on to marry Bob Lundstrom, giving Norma 2 half-brothers, Robert Lundstrom and Brad Lundstrom, both of Spokane, WA.

Norma attended Billings Senior High School, Eastern Montana College, and Denver Business College.  She married Max Eichenlaub and had three daughters: Margaret Eichenlaub, Patricia Parsons, and Kathryn (Shane) Stephens, all of Billings.  She married her true love, Robert C. Allmer, in 1983 and acquired three step-daughters: Melissa Latterell of St. Cloud, MN; Billie Morehouse of Billings, MT; and Robin Manoski of Sartell, MN.  She became a vessel of love enough for 17 grandchildren (2 deceased) and 8 great-grandchildren.
In her long time 12-step program membership, she acquired more friends and family that helped her discover that God put her on earth to be a “Grandma”

Norma loved retirement after having worked for McDonald’s, School District 2 (as interpreter for the deaf), Kit Kat Café, Community Crime Prevention Council, and Tire-Rama, as well as bookkeeping for the trucking business that Robert started.  She especially enjoyed music, and loved having fun with Robert fishing, camping, motorcycling, and riding in the semi-truck.

Norma was preceded in death by her father, step-mother, and birth mother.  She is survived by her husband, siblings, six children, fifteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Norma’s name to your favorite charity.  Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Heights Family Funeral Home, 733 West Wicks Lane, Billings, MT.
