Jacqueline Lee Allard, 69 of Billings, passed away on March 10, 2020 at her home at Highgate Senior Living. Jacque was born on December 17, 1950 in Billings, MT to Clayton and Sally (Otoski) Allard. She made Billings her home for most of her life and enjoyed growing up with her siblings Barbie, Margie, Louie and Connie. The bond between the Allard siblings was very strong and full of many humorous stories. Jacque graduated from Central High School in 1969 and attended MSU in Bozeman for a short time before coming back to Billings. Jacque had a 30+ year career with Northwest Airlines. She worked as a ticket agent at Billings Logan Airport and brought a smile and laugh to countless travelers over the course of her long career with the airline.
Jacque was the proud mother of her only child, Monica Fellows. Following her divorce when Monica was young, Jacque worked very hard to raise her on her own to be a kind and loving human. She encouraged her to be confident and determined and to share her gifts and her love with the world. The most important thing in Jacque’s life was being a mom to Monica and “Gaga” to her 2 granddaughters, Sally and Libby. Jacque’s pride and joy was her family, and her life revolved around them and their activities. She was so supportive of her granddaughters; whether it was soccer, cheerleading, dance or anything and everything they were involved in. This left little time for hobbies following her retirement. She did have a love for animals and had a special 3-legged cat Laticia, who brought her great joy at Highgate until her passing.
Jacque battled breast cancer for many years and the struggle was a hard fight. She was determined to beat it so she could spend more time with her family and see her granddaughters get married. Although she did beat the cancer, it took its toll on her body and caused long term symptoms and ailing health, resulting in her to move to Highgate Senior Living in 2016 for more care. Everyone at Highgate loved Jacque and the care team was such a blessing to her and her family.
She leaves behind her only daughter Monica Fellows, son-in-law Brett and granddaughters, Sally and Libby all of Billings; sisters Barbie (Ted) Olson of CA; Margie Marr of Billings; brother Louie (Elaine) Allard of Billings; brother-in-law Pat Minard (Mary) of KS; nieces and nephews, Jeff and Kevin, Heather and Tiffany, Clay and Bryce and Tara and Kelly along with several great nieces and nephews who were very special to her; Brett’s parents, Dick and Linda Fellows and special friends Joan Flynn, Vicky Buska and Sandy Sage. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Connie Minard.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial Services will be held at 10am on Sunday, March 15 at Heights Family Funeral Home, 733 W. Wicks Ln. Billings, MT 59105. Interment of cremated remains will be on her parents’ grave at Mountview Cemetery.
